TAG! i'm it...

alright, so i gotta write five things that ppl don't already know bout me? then tag five others... okey dokey, lets try this...

uh...........

1) I am perfectly content with my height... but you all see that I don't like being made fun of for it! haha ;-)

2) I have never really enjoyed eating ice cream... and there are just a few times i really crave chocolate, other than that, i prefer not to eat it... (tho i worked at a chocolate shop and ice cream parlor for a year... it ruined my complexion! haha...)

3) you may know this... i want to travel the world (england, germany, switzerland, ireland, scottland, africa, india...)

4) I want to adopt a little boy from africa... maybe a little girl from some other place... and i want one or two of my own children... but not until i've done most of my travelling =)

5) i am extremly picky when it comes to relationships, i would rather be single actually than be with some one who doesn't measure up to my "standards" ... i do not understand how ppl can go from one relationship to the next so quickly and often... most of those ppl meant harldly anything to them. also i may pass up a good opportunity with someone because it kinda scares me to be in a relationship, being that close to someone... haha ya... but i'm getting over it =)

change is good =)

ok I'm now working five days a week at the preschool instead of three =D heck yes!!!

also... I'm moving to San Miguel, well, more like just in Monterey County... I've got a three bedroom, two bath house with a friend. The rent is totally affordable for me because my housemate just wanted a friend =) her husband is with the National Guard in Iraq and will be there for quite sometime... its on ten acres on a secluded hill and the view is positively lovely =) the best part is that i can paint whatever i want on my walls as long as they are white again when i leave... i'm so stoked. we found the place 3 days ago, officially got it yesterday and we're moving in tomorrow!

lots of love to all

my date continued...

well what more shall I say...

John, the guy who asked me out was interesting, to say the least... at times he was very old fashioned and sweet... other times he was a little too forward. haha, i thought it was pretty funny when i mentioned that i still had disgusting coffee breath in the back of my throat, my gum hadn't helped. he responded "well i'd like to taste it for you but you probably wouldn't let me... *chuckle* you don't kiss on the first date, do you?" i just stared at him in awed amusement and slight disgust. i soon realized his "hopes" for our meeting and relationship, i'm kinda naive ha... i let him know that i absolutly adore being single at this time in my life... he kept saying, "i really like you, you seem really sweet. i don't want a serious relationship either. i'm good as a friend or you know... 'booty call' *CHUCKLE CHUCKLE*" oh my gosh, i've never met a guy who just speaks everything on their mind like that... my look pretty much said "sure... wutev... BYE!!!" david put it well, "this guys sounds like a real winner!" ha... ya well i enjoy new experiences, trying something just to say i have even if i never wana do it again... this was definitly one of those moments... i just wish this guy didn't still have my number, oh well.

i was amused by my yesterday evening so i thought i would share it, hope you don't mind!

word to the wise, don't give someone who is like a decade older than you you're phone number... he doesn't need to be shown around the town... (you're probably thinkin, "well DUH ashley!)

ha! luv you guys!!! =D

...I just had a date with a complete stranger...

So ya, last night after my sign language class at cuesta i was walking to my car, minding my own business when i heard behind me "excuse me miss..."

I turned around to see a guy coming toward me that I'd never seen before. He asked if I listened to punk rock, I said "ya". he handed me a flyer to a concert in lompoc that his friend's band is hosting... asked me to tell my friends and look into coming, "they'd really appreciate the support"

we talked for maybe one minute... to my surprise I actually gave him my phone number when he asked for it, saying he'd like to "be shown around the town and hang out sometime" (he recently moved from Long Beach)

he called me this afternoon (doesn't waste any time... he admitted that he tends to move "fast", go with the flow... =/... ha... anyways)

we met for coffee at five this evening. talked bout careers and family history... he works at camp roberts... he's 28! oh man...heh

......oh i'm meeting david for a movie right now, i'll finish this later... sorry! haha

country and shtuff

I took a quiz to find out how country I am (because I love country music...)

I'm like 78% country

...now I'm going to go home, taking pain killer, plumpin onto my couch with cold water and pretendin its ice cream and watchin some sappy film...

a long day with preschoolers sometimes just wears ya out!
good day to you all

humility, cleansing, joy... good stuff!

my new job as an interpreter for the little guy is absolutely amazing! i couldn't be happier working anywhere else, i love working with all of the little 3 and 4 year olds, it brings such joy =) i love kids =D my little guy is stubborn and independant but he is quickly learning to respect and depend on me. he initiated many games today with me, he's warming up quite well. yes he often turns his gaze away from my flying fingers and pushes my signing away and yells at me when he wants to do his own thing, but when he asks for help and i see his bright eyes and shining little smile i just melt =) haha

in the past 24 hours i have completly run out of money in both my savings and checking accounts and no longer have my job at the chocolate factory. but i'm glad to be rid of the chocolate shop job. i just need to gain a few more cuesta classes and start assisting at the high school in my old sign teachers class a few times a week. it'll be good, just gotta stay busy so that old, unhealthy haunts won't... haunt ;-) anyways, enough of the unpleasant stuff!

God is totally growing me and cleansing me inside and out and every aspect of my life. the crap that before would have entertained and intrigued me makes me ill to think of. sweet so ya... i just really desire to be totally hooked on God and passionate for the things of Him... nothing else

luv ya guys! good to chat

life update and shtuff

so the interpretting job i talked about i believe in my last post is now my new job. it starts in the first few days of september. i will be in a preschool setting 3 days a week acting as the voice and ears of a deaf three year old boy. i'm excited and nervous and thankful. if i fall in love with interpretting i'm going to pursue an on going career by gaining my certification either through a four year college or mentoring... both expensive but well worth the effort and time cuz there is ALWAYS a high need for certified interprettors... and it pays well, but most of all i would be greatly helping people and for some reason helping others give me the biggest rush of anything i've ever experienced =)

apparently Cuesta Community College starts in 4 days... i'm not prepared for school, i'm in job mode, this job is more important than cuesat classes to me, though i will still take a few. and i will work at my chocolate shop as much as possible because i love it there =)

yeah, that's a pretty full load but it'll work out and be an exciting adventure

ok. i'm gonna head out now. good to chat with ya!!
