....prom.....

for those of you that i haven't already told, i think i'm just gonna boycott my senior prom. i can't believe ashley graybill just admitted that, but prom... MY prom, just seems lame in soooo many different ways right now. everyone keeps telling me how I HAVE to go to prom and they are all whining about it but NO ONE has actually given me a good reason yet...

i just hope that i don't regret this later on, when i'm like 65 and telling my grandchildren sweet stories about my life as a teen or something ridiculous like that...

and that's the last i feel like addressing the subject at the moment

*sigh*

hehe... so far I've been out of HS for ... 6 years? and I still haven't regretted going to my senior prom. Of course, I never have been into dances and I was totally shy around guys in a romantic sense anyway at that age. I was cool being friends, but dating and anything else was an uncomfortable field for me. I've always been pretty sheltered I guess.

The only thing that made me a bit bitter afterwards about missing my prom was when I'd mention that I didn't go to my prom because I wasn't able to get a date and the few guys that overheard tod me. "you're kidding me! You couldn't get a date? If I had know, I would have taken you." *lol* *sigh*

yay for shyness and pickiness when it comes to asking guys to dances.

I'm not trying to sway you to go or not to go. I'm just saying that when it comes right down to it, if you really do want to go. I admit it, I did really want to go and I was dissapointed that none of he friends I was going to ask to take me were available that weekend. But, my life has gone on. Anyway, I'd just put it in God's hands and leave it at that. You'll at least have peace in knowing that if you weren't able to find a date or make it to your prom that there was probably a good reason and there won't be anything there that you'll truely miss out on.
I'll keep this situation in my prayers for you. It's really hard to find a good date in general, especially at your age! (no offense... but it's incredible how much one can mature in just a few short years after HS)

    Anyway... bye for now! (=

I personally can't wait till my prom! But if you really don't want to go thats ok. People tell me its not that fun unless you go with a guy or you go with lots of friends. I hope you make the right decision.
